The Legend of Faceless is a fantasy novel about a boy who tries to save his family from an unknown kidnapper, while rediscovering the meaning of life, in a drastically changing time in his society. The story submerges you in a philosophy-driven culture, showing what life is like in a social system where, instead of money, the system's pursuit is all-encompassing perfection. Simple love is a life-force, children are taught to be thinkers, brothers and sisters become life-partners, and society rolls ahead with an elaborate system of money-less collaboration, where invention is an entire industry. (The novel is written in 2nd-person. You see through the eyes of the main character, and he's referred to as "you" in the story. Most people phase out of the 2nd-person tense after the first page or two.)
