Much to his dismay, sixteen year old Connor keeps waking up on a spaceship that looks as if it could have been taken right out of any number of his favorite science fiction books. There, all too familiar looking aliens perform all too predictable examinations: poking, prodding, and probing Connor in ways he has read about many times before. Unsurprisingly, no one believes his oddly stereotypical tales, which is unfortunate, because soon, aliens are everywhere. Indiscriminately leveling buildings, plundering resources, and taking over governments all in the name of benevolence, the alien invasion somehow seems like something Connor had read about many times before – this time in history books. Before long, the alien’s peculiar obsession with Connor leads him to outlandish adventure far from Earth. Along the way, he is shocked to discover that the aliens unexpectedly expected behavior was no fluke; for despite assertions of superiority and a layer of deceptive technology, they are connected to mankind in a way that will shatter all notions about how life on Earth came to be.
